Note: These cookies are deployed only on fintower.ai. The Fintower application (app.fintower.ai) does not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, PostHog, Microsoft Clarity, or LinkedIn Insight Tag tracking.

4. Authentication storage on app.fintower.ai (the application)

The Fintower application uses browser localStorage (not traditional cookies) to store authentication tokens.

Important distinction: localStorage is not a cookie. It is a browser-based storage mechanism that persists data locally without sending it to the server with every request.

Third-party identity providers:

If you authenticate using Google or Microsoft Entra ID, those identity providers may set their own session cookies on their respective domains:

• Google: cookies set on accounts.google.com
• Microsoft Entra ID: cookies set on login.microsoftonline.com

These cookies are set by Google and Microsoft respectively and are outside Fintower's control. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies for more information.

5. Third-party services and analytics

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on fintower.ai to measure website traffic and user behavior. Google Analytics does not track users inside the Fintower application (app.fintower.ai).

Opt-out: You can disable Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Mixpanel

Mixpanel cookies on fintower.ai help us understand product usage patterns and conversion funnels.

Opt-out: You can opt out of Mixpanel tracking through our cookie consent banner or via Mixpanel's privacy controls.

PostHog (product analytics and experimentation)

We use PostHog on fintower.ai for product analytics, feature flags, and experimentation. PostHog is hosted on the EU instance (eu.i.posthog.com); no data is transferred to the United States. PostHog is loaded only after you accept the "Statistics" cookie category in our Cookiebot consent banner. Legal basis: consent.

Opt-out: Reopen the Cookiebot banner (link in the footer) and uncheck Statistics; PostHog will stop loading on your next page view. See PostHog's privacy policy for details.

Microsoft Clarity (session replay and heatmaps)

We use Microsoft Clarity on fintower.ai for session replay and heatmaps to understand how visitors interact with our marketing site. Clarity is loaded via Google Tag Manager only after you accept the "Statistics" cookie category in our Cookiebot consent banner. Sensitive input fields are masked by default so passwords and form values are not recorded. Clarity is operated by Microsoft Corporation (United States); transfers are safeguarded under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). Legal basis: consent.

LinkedIn Insight Tag

LinkedIn Insight Tag on fintower.ai allows us to understand how professionals engage with our marketing content.

Opt-out: You can manage LinkedIn ad preferences and tracking settings through your LinkedIn account.

Chatwoot (live chat)

Our live chat widget is provided by Chatwoot Inc. (United States). Chatwoot is loaded only after you accept the "Statistics" cookie category in our Cookiebot consent banner. The widget stores a small amount of session data (a conversation identifier and last-read timestamp) in your browser so you can resume a chat across page loads. Conversations are retained for 30 days on the Chatwoot Hacker plan and then deleted. Legal basis: consent. Transfer mechanism: Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
