Connect Klaviyo to Fintower in 5 minutes

Merge Klaviyo's campaign and flow data with order, return and Klarna data, so ROAS becomes real margin, not attributed GMV.

Klaviyo shows you an attributed revenue figure per flow and campaign. It is useful for comparing the email channel against itself over time, but it is not what you actually earned.

Klaviyo's number is GMV at order, based on an attribution window (typically 5 days). It does not know which order was returned two weeks later, which Klarna fee was deducted, or what margin the product actually carried after COGS and shipping.

When Klaviyo is connected to Fintower you get two figures side by side: what Klaviyo says the flow did, and what it actually became after returns, BNPL fees and COGS.

Same abandoned cart flow, three different answers

Klaviyo
412,000 SEK
attributed revenue, 5d window
Shopify
398,000 SEK
GMV at order, before returns
Fintower
284,000 SEK
net after returns + Klarna + COGS
Same flow. The number you can actually spend is 31% lower than what Klaviyo shows.

What you need before you start

  • An active Fintower account (Starter plan is enough)
  • A Klaviyo account with admin permissions, you need to be able to approve an OAuth connection
  • Shopify, Klarna and Fortnox already connected to Fintower (otherwise there is no order data to match against)
  • Roughly 5 minutes of active time; the first historical sync runs in the background

Step by step

  1. Log in to app.fintower.ai with your admin account.
  2. Go to Settings → Integrations in the left sidebar.
  3. Find Klaviyo in the list of available integrations and click Connect.
  4. You'll be sent to Klaviyo's OAuth page. Log in with your Klaviyo admin account and approve the scopes Fintower requests (read-access to campaigns, flows, metrics and profiles).
  5. When you return to Fintower you'll map Klaviyo's flows and campaigns to Fintower's campaign taxonomy. The default mapping works for 90% of setups, only adjust if your team uses a custom naming convention.
  6. Click Verify connection. You'll see a green check once the first API call goes through. The historical sync starts immediately and takes 10–30 minutes depending on data volume.

What you can measure afterwards

  • Real ROAS per flow and campaign, after returns, BNPL fees and COGS, not attributed GMV
  • Margin per customer segment: which Klaviyo segments carry your margin, which are revenue-heavy but margin-thin
  • Churn impact of specific flows: how often are orders triggered by abandoned cart vs welcome flow returned
  • True LTV per acquisition source: connect the first order's Klaviyo touch to 12-month net margin per customer
  • Cash-flow effect of campaigns: when does the money from a Tuesday send actually land, after Klarna payout and the return window

Klaviyo says the flow drove half a million. Fintower says 280,000 of it is liquid in six weeks. That is the number you can budget the next campaign against.

Troubleshooting

If you don't see data after 30 minutes, first check that the Shopify connection is active in Fintower. Klaviyo data with no order data to match against produces an empty view.

If certain flows are missing, Klaviyo's OAuth only grants access to flows in "Live" or "Manual" status. Drafts and Archived flows are hidden. Activate the flow or archive it permanently.

If the mapping looks wrong, go to Integrations → Klaviyo → Mapping and click Reset to default. The most common cause is a new campaign created in Klaviyo after the first sync with a naming convention the mapping rule didn't recognise.
